The Cricket subsection started in 1952 as individual school leavers and old boys. Pretoria High School Old Boys Club established it for the purpose of providing a place of fellowship to school leavers where they can meet for sport.

The cricket section actually began before the Main Club was opened and is the oldest subsection. Previous members include Rassie van Der Dussen, Roelof van der Merwe, Heino Kuhn, Eldred Hawken, Miguel Pretorius, Hanu Viljoen and many more.
